|Description:||This position is responsible for application and report analysis, design, development, modification, implementation, and support. This position will need experience with application development tools and databases including Visual Studio .NET, Crystal Reports, and SQLServer. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining a stable and functional applications environment by working with external vendors, internal staff, external support staff and GSEC staff. |
|Duties:|| Supports vendor applications. Works closely with the vendors and other IT support personnel to coordinate enhancements and implementation of new releases.|
Analyze, develop, test, implement, and support applications, data warehouses, and reports.
Reports progress of assigned work to IT Manager on an ongoing basis.
Aids in ensuring IT projects are delivered as budgeted and scheduled.
Effectively work in a high stress, highly productive and rapidly changing environment.
Travel as required.
Will adhere to all GSEC corporate policies and comply with all GSEC regulatory requirements, including but not limited to NERC, FERC, and relevant state regulations, as applicable to this position.
Any additional responsibilities assigned by management.
|Qualifications:|| Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related degree.|
1-3 years experience with application development tools and database management systems.
Experience with n-tier technology and Microsoft .NET technology.
Proficiency with application development tools, relational database management systems and reporting tools.
Proficiency with analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and support of applications and/or enhancements to applications.
Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments.
Customer service orientation.
Strong interpersonal skills.
